A small doodle can be stretched to fit a poster, or an even more unusual shape... like a skateboard deck. Long the home of innovative and sometimes controversial designs, skateboard decks make a statement about their owner.
Here are 30 very cool examples of vector skateboard deck art with info on the artists behind them, plus some resources to help you get started creating your own skateboard deck art.
Emil Kozak
Spanish illustrator Emil Kozak has a variety of work in his portfolio, these examples of his skateboard deck design for the LAB Anatomi Series and The Flow Store showcase his great use of vector graphics and shapes.
Drez
Freelance designer and illustrator Drez has many of his skateboard designs brought to life by exporting his vector artwork for creation as plotted vinyl graphics. His other deck designs feature a collection of fantastic illustrations with heavy textures and a variety of graphics.

Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse
Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse in Jutland Denmark started life on December 27, 1900 (construction started in 1899). The lighthouse is 60 metres above sea level. Until 1908 it operated on gas.
It ceased to operate on August 1, 1968.
Shifting sands and coastal erosion led to the buildings being abandoned in 2002. Prior to their abandonment, the buildings had been used as a museum and coffee shop. The small buildings are now partially buried in sand.
Looking at different era photos, it's interesting to see sand dunes moving around, burying some of the buildings, sometimes uncovering them.

Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name, Harvey is the quintessential man-with-an-imaginary-rabbit-friend film. In the lead role of Elwood P. Dowd, James Stewart earned himself an Oscar nomination for convincingly interacting with his 6'3" tall invisible drinking buddy. One might argue that if a night of drinking doesn't lead imaginary friend-making, you're not doing it right.
