Holiday "Tomatina" in Spain 2009

Tens of thousands of participants tomato festival thrown each other tons of ripe tomatoes in a good-natured battle, which filled the streets of Spanish cities Bunol rivers of red pulp. City Hall Bunola estimated that more than 40 000 people (some even specially for the festival came from Japan and Australia) fought in the mock fight last Wednesday. It was used 100 tons of tomatoes!





















This annual "vegetable" battle, known as the "Tomatina" ( "Tomatina"), this year held the 64th time. The event was held earlier between childhood friends and had the usual "mezhdusoboychikom, and now it is something like a business card for Bunola, which is located about 40 miles north of Valencia on the east coast of Spain. Hour-long battle so popular that tomato parade stretched out in the city nearly two miles (three kilometers). This happened on August 26 in the morning.
